SAFETY AND SEA SURVIVAL COURSE

 

DURATION:

2 days (8.30am – 4:30pm)
Classroom theory and practical sessions
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

None

COURSE FEE:

$440.00 (incl GST)

  • Practical wet drill where candidates become familiar with the deployment and use of a life raft, flare detonation and theory sessions.
  • Offer and discuss practical strategies for coping with emergencies at sea.

 OUTCOMES:

Safety and Sea Survival Certificate of Competence (valid for 5 years).
Certificate awarded conforms with the eligibility requirements of section 6.01 of the ISAF Special Regulations for Category 0, 1 and some Category 2 offshore races.

WHAT TO BRING:
  • Lifejacket (can be borrowed from the Club)
  • Wet weather gear
  • Photo ID
  • Pen and notepad
  • Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Change of clothes, towel
