Classroom theory and practical sessions on the water

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

16 years old, Power Boat Licence, Senior First Aid Certificate

COURSE FEE:

$220 including BBQ lunch

QUALIFICATION:

Achievement of Safety Boat Handling competencies leads to the issuing of a Yachting Australia Statement of Attainment and Certificate.

COMPETENCIES INCLUDED:

Rules and Regulations for Safety Boat Operations
Plan and Prepare for Safety Boat Operations
Manoeuvre a vessel in safety Boat Operations
Apply safety management during Safety Boat Operations
Secure Vessels during Safety Boat Operations

OUTCOMES:

The target group for this Certificate are people with a desire to be in charge of a safety boat and/or those who require Yachting Australia incorporated endorsement for the skills and knowledge of “Safety Boat Handling”.  This course is suitable for teachers, trainers, students, trainees, coaches and volunteers involved with schools or sporting organisations.
