Courses and Qualifications

The course will teach you survival techniques on a vessel in an emergency situation and and how to abide safe work procedures.

All bareboat briefers and radio operators working for a bareboat charter organisation in the Whitsundays are required under the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations 1983 to complete an approved Bareboat Briefers course.

The LROCP qualification allows the operator to operate both the VHF marine radiotelephony equipment and the MF/HF marine telephony equipment.

The Coxswain Grade 3 certificate replaces Exemption 38 and provides basic seamanship knowledge and skills. A Coxswain 3 certificate holder may operate small domestic commercial vessels in smooth waters or close to shore.

This qualification is suitable for people working onboard vessels under supervision - assisting in various tasks, from deck maintenance to aiding in vessel operations.

Gain the qualification to command and operate a vessel <12 in length within inshore or designated waters.
