Long Range Radio Operator Certificate of Proficiency (LRROCP)


Overview

Operators of marine radios on vessels and at maritime coast stations, other than those solely using 27 MHz frequencies, are required to hold a Certificate of Proficiency or an equivalent overseas qualification.
This certificate covers both VHF and MF/HF operation. Pre-study is highly recommended.

$151.00 course fee
$ 89.00 for the Radio Licence Application to the 
Office of Maritime Communications (OMC)


Course duration

1/2 day (8:00am – 1pm)  Classroom theory and assessment

It is recommended that you test your knowledge prior to the test using the revision questions
